Bio

I was born in 1960 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin two weeks before JFK was elected President. Since then things have been a bit of a blur. Below you will find a listing of some of the experiences that have made for a very interesting journey.

	EdTec Clients

•	Kyocera Corporation - San Diego, CA Evaluated the design and functionality of the 'Get to know your phone' pages of the Kyocera web site for the 2235 and 2255 model phones. Designed and implemented an online survey with FileMaker Pro to gather input from the users. Spring 2002

•	Conexant Corporation - Newport Beach, CA Along with a partner, I wrote the script for a training video dealing with the smock-up procedure for entering the test facility clean room at Conexant. The video was never produced when Conexant divided into a number of spin-off companies. Spring 2002

•	BinaryLabs, Inc. - San Diego, CA Worked as a storyboarder in preparation of the Harcourt 6th Grade Math CD-ROM. Primary task was designing interactive activities from existing paper-based worksheets. Summer 2000

	Professional

•	California Lutheran High School Wildomar, CA I have taught upper level science (biology, chemistry, & physics), advanced math, and technology at CLHS since 1989. I also coached girls' volleyball for the first 10 years. (1989-present)

•	St. Paul's First Lutheran School North Hollywood, CA Newly armed with my Arizona secondary certificate, I taught junior high science for three school years. An exciting place to live with many wonderful people. (1986-1989)

•	Good Shepherd Lutheran School Tucson, AZ I served as principal and taught grades 5-8 in a self-contained classroom for two school years. (1983-1985)


	Been There ... Done That

•	Night Attendent Grant/Swan Exxon - Tucson, AZ Great opportunity to study while at U of A. Learned that cleaning gas station rest rooms was not in my long term career plans. (1985-1986)

•	Bartender Various Establishments You definitely see people at their best—and worst—in a bar. By the time I hung up my shot glass, I decided I liked people better without the alcohol. (1980-1983)

•	Cook Kaiserhoff Restaurant - New Ulm, MN Lessons Learned: How to keep track of a dozen things at once, and that the hardest working, poorest paid people in the restaurant business are in the kitchen. (1979)

•	Maintenance/Security/Landscaping Park Plaza Mall - Oshkosh, WI A great high school and summer place to work. I use the variety of skills I picked up to this day. (1978-1980)

•	Dishwasher Great Wall Chinese Restaurant - Oshkosh, WI One summer of dishwashing with nothing but Cantonese spoken in the kitchen. Lesson learned: You can't pick up Cantonese just by listening. (1977)

•	Caddie Oshkosh Country Club - Oshkosh, WI One of the most valuable learning experiences I've had. Caddying for the wealthiest and most successful people in the community showed me that happiness doesn't come from the size of your paycheck. (1974-1976)
