Library
of Congress - Alright, this one isn't unknown ... but there is
more cool info here than any place on the web. The American Memory
section has an incredible amount of primary source material. |
|
|
|
The
WebQuest Page - Conceptualized by Bernie Dodge and Tom March,
WebQuests are currently the most effective learning tools using the
Web. Bernie keeps this site stocked with resources and links to some
of the best WebQuests out there. |

|
Blue
Web'n - With millions of Internet sites out there,
the challenge is finding ones that are useful for education. Pac
Bell (now SBC) has made things easier by putting together this collection
of sites. They are categorized and searchable by content and grade
level. |

|
|
Marcopolo
- Founded by the ill-fated WorldCom Corp.but now on its ownMarcopolo
is content for the classroom organized into major subject areas. They
have associations with the some of the major professional organizations
(AAAS, NCTE, National Geographic). A great place to look for resources.

Online
Books Page - Not a pretty page, but from here you can find links
to full-text versions of tens of thousands of public domain books. |

|
|
Furl
- Keeping track of important links as you move between various computers
is a challenge. Furl allows you to save and organize your
links
and keeps them always accessible. It even archives a version of the
page you visited. |
|
|
|
Yahoo
Groups - A fabulous tool for keeping groups in touch. Listserve,
chat, file sharing, polls, and more. I'll even confess to using the
40MB space as an online hard drive. |
|
|
|
Google
- Easily the best search tool available right now; great for finding
images, too! Schools can add a Google search to their web sites for
free. To learn how to use Google like a pro, check out this job
aid from Bernie Dodge. |

Symantec
Security Response - Get an email warning of a catastrophic virus?
Before you email your entire address book check it out here. There
is a link on hoaxes
as well to keep you from becoming part of the problem. |
