It was the last day of basketball, we started early so that we could go to Bree's house for a while before I went to work. We scrimmaged near the end and did some core-strengthening drills.

Trinity needed more people to work later because there was a lot of Options. So I worked after basketball to help out, Dynamite Dave and Joelle were the only other people there. I'm getting paid time-and-a-half for night shift. I ran one of the Docs and I got a few pages of orders done. I also tape-bound for a little bit while Joelle was taking a break.

It was REALLY hot in the gym. I had to sit out for the last part because I was so hot. It was weight-lifting day, but I was still sitting out when they did it. Everything else was pretty normal.

Everyone woke up a little early to go to IHOP. I ordered a waffle, but the machine was broken (of course), so I had pancakes. We only had one-three hour session. We had Sarah again, we were supposed to review everything that we learned, but we spent almost all of the time doing different passing drills. Then we went back home and a few hours later, I had to go to basketball practice.

We had three-three hour sessions again. We had Sarah for our coach at the morning and evening sessions, we had Heather at the afternoon one. We watched a video of some highlights, it was cool. Miss Raiser bought us pizza after the last session.

We had three-three hour sessions, it seemed to take forever, and we only had and hour and a half in-between each session. We went to Jamba Juice after the last session, I had a smoothie, it was pretty good, it had strawberries and bananas in it.

I went to CLHS to go to the Long Beach Volleyball Camp. Krystyna, Bree, Lauren, Katie, Emma, Julie, and Rudi came also. We had two-three hour sessions and we got put into our groups, I was in a group with Julie and ten other girls, my coach's name was Andy. We went to our motel rooms.

I perforated for a while, I put together bullitens with the saddle-stitcher, and I worked on Options today.

Sarah's Summer Spectacular -- General -- 'Permit Driving Test' 

I took my written driving test this morning. I got my picture taken and did a thumbprint. Then I took the test, I was confused on some of them because there were some questions that two of the answers would work. I got 5 wrong, you can pass with 8 wrong. One of them shouldn't have been wrong because in the handbook, it said one thing, and that's how I answered, but they marked it wrong and said it was something else. I got my permit, at least, I start my driving lessons on Friday.

We did the plyo-ball exercises again, I could almost do the ab thing when you are on your arms, you have to do it for a minute, and I almost did it with my right arm.

Sarah's Summer Spectacular -- Part I 'My New Job' -- Day 24 

Today I helped fix the Mega Tom's menus, there were some spelling mistakes and some things were in the wrong spots, so we had to do three of the four pages over. I helped laminate, punch holes, and cut. I put the coils on alone, some one else trimmed them, but at least whenever we go to Mega Tom's, I can say that I put the coils on the menus! That took us all day to finish.

Today we did the normal dribbling and we actually got to do something new! Jump-roping! It was tough, but more fun than other practices. I kept whipping myself on the back of my legs, it hurt a lot.

A friend of Mom's invited us to go to the Schwan's beach house. Their daughters were really nice. The Schwans were there also, we ate lots of food and walked on the beach at night. It was great fun!

Sarah's Summer Spectacular -- General -- 'Computer Applications' 

Dad is teaching me computers since I won't have any time during the school year to do it. Yesterday I started a html web site, and today I kind of finished it up. It is about Driver's Ed.

There was a meeting in the kitchen when I got to work today. I learned how to use the saddle-stitcher today. It staples and folds booklets for you. I am so glad I didn't have to do them by hand, it would have taken me three times as long. Then I perforated for two hours, there were five minutes left, so I helped Carlos and Jessica stuff folders for Jessica's presentation tomorrow.

We did some more sprinting stuff today, I was more tired than I usually am, I think it might be because of last night. We passed the plyo-balls and then regular basketballs back-and-forth for something like ten minutes, it hurt my arms a lot.

Last night there was a huge thunder storm, my sister woke me up while she was going down her ladder, but I fell back asleep. Then, someone called our house at 4:30 in the morning, I fell asleep again after a few minutes, I was really tired.

Sarah's Summer Spectacular -- General -- 'Ice Age 2 - The Meltdown' 

We went to see Ice Age 2 - The Meltdown with Aunt Kris. It was a pretty good movie, it was very funny, but there were a lot of disruptive kids there that wouldn't be quiet or sit still, they were running in the aisles and up front making shadow puppets on the screen. The movie seemed to go by quickly, at least.

I put together the Christ the Vine bullitens again, this time I did everything but the layout and the printing. I also put away packs of paper and perforated for two hours. There were humungous cookies in the kitchen, they were really good.

Sarah's Summer Spectacular -- Part III 'Basketball' -- Day 11 

Today we dribbled and ran a lot, we did some sprinting, and I didn't really get that tired! The day is finally over and now I have to keep getting through these full days until Thursday is over because I have VBS, then work, then basketball, at least there is no basketball on Friday!

I went out canvasing with Joelle today, I did the talking a couple of times! We mailed the letters and put the info into the computer, and started making more of the packets, and that was pretty much it.

Sarah's Summer Spectacular -- Part VI 'VBS' -- Day 1 

Today was the first day of Vacation Bible School. It was pretty fun, it was much better than the other VBS programs in the past. The closing was a little disfunctional though. The sound was hard to hear (it was also in the morning, but the kids were a lot quieter then), the kids wouldn't calm down, and the signing out was not organized. Otherwise, it seemed like it was really good, the games and food were good, and so were the other stations, but we couldn't get to the crafts because everyone else was behind, the kids in my group had to take the stuff home, they didn't really go through the Searcher Guides either, except for logging clues on the back. Hopefully tomorrow will go better.

We went swimming again this morning. For lunch, we went to Red Robin, then while everyone else was shopping, Dad went geocaching while I solved a puzzle for another one. I got my own geocaching account! Later, I went out geocaching with Dad and we found the puzzle cache first, then we found seven more. We went swimming at the lap pool at night and we watched "Glory Road" and "8 Below."

After our second basketball game, our family went to Palm Springs, the room is nice, but there is only one bed, so my brother, sister, and I have to sleep on the floor. We went swimming, the pool was warm.

We played twice again. We lost them both, they were the same team, we weren't going to play the second game, but the team we played against would have to play against themselves, and we wanted to play again, so we did. The second game, got to shoot free throws because there was a technical foul for something, Coach Bork chose me to shoot them, I made one of them! My first point this summer!

I folded and stapled more bullitens, this time for Christ the Vine. Then I helped put together the booklets that Giustina and I printed. Then I stuffed the bullitens and then put some more note pads together. There was a fire, so Mom and Dad had to leave early to pick me up to take me to a basketball game.
