Charging By Friction and Contact
We all know that electrical effects are maded by friction. Like when you scuff our shoes then touch someone. Well, you can see sparks of electicity when you turn out the light. (Below is a good link of what happens:)

Electrons can be transferred from one thing to another by touching. This happens when you have a charged rod that touchs a neutral object, some change will transfer to the neutral object. This is called charging by contact. If the object is a good conductor, it will spread to all parts.
![]() However, if it is a poor conductor, it may take more rods in order to distribute the charge. Here are some more links, so that you can learn more about this: http://www.glenbrook.k12.il.us/gbssci/phys/Class/estatics/u8l2a.html http://regentsprep.org/Regents/physics/phys03/atribo/default.htm |
