Okay well I guess this is my turn to describe what I thought interesting. Before Physics i didn't even know what the center of gravity was, let alone how to locate it. The center of gravity of a object is a the midpoint, its geometric center. Basicly the easy way to remember it is that it's the balance point of the object. By supporting that one point you are able to suport the whole object.
If you suspend any object(a pendulum, for example) at a single point, the center of gravity of the object will hang directly below (or at) the point of suspension. To locate the objects center of gravity, construct a vertical line beneath the point suspension. The center of gravity lies somewhere along that line.
