Think of the earth and how it spins around an axis and around the sun. Rotation is when the earth moves around the axis. Or when anything spins around an axis. Revolution is when the earth revolves around the sun. This can also be when any object revolves around something else.

Rotational speed, which is sometimes also called angular speed, is the number of rotations per unit of time. Everything on a certain object has the same roational speed, however the tangential speed varies for the location of the object. Tangential speed is the speed it is going while it is going in a curcular motion. A good example of this is two bugs on a turntable. One is on the inside and one is on the outside. They both have the same rotational speed because they both go around the same number of times. However, the bug on the outside has a faster tangential speed and the bug on the inside has a slower tangential speed.
