Animals Detecting Natural Distasters...

Aniamals already have natual senses to use in nature to locate prey or predators. But can they really sense natural distasters?

Research has shown that they can get out of the way of earthquakes by sensing the earths vibrations and moving to higher ground. That is one theory. The other is that they can detect changes in the air.

Some people don't like the idea of using animals as natural distaster detectors. They can change their behavior for many reasons, and they don't beleive that it would be worth while to just study the animals.

I usually know when there is a storm or an earthquake comming because my two dogs freak out. So it is proven, but not for everyone. In my opinion, sure, I would trust that my dogs are right.

If you would like to read more about it, HERE is the article.

I too thinkm animals can sense danger. They might have a sixth sense. I think that animals can sense the chages of air and other things., that humans do not.
I believe this to be so, because their bodys do not become amune to smells, etc, and other thing that humans do. They are smarter than we give them credic for.

I think they can fell vibration in the ground or changes in the air. I dont think they would have a sixth sense. I believe that some of there senses are much stronger and can detect things in the are or on the ground better than we can.

i know that animal's senses are stronger in some areas compared to ours. but, i would not soley depend on animals for detecting natural disasters.

I think that animals have more to detect than we do.Their senses are better than ours. I watched this program on the travel channel about earthquakes and dogs senseing them. My dog did some weird things once before when stuff happened.
